Because Landen can!!
We've waited patiently for that first word, and here it is: TRACTOR
And soon to follow was CAR.
Now, he points them out for us and says the word, all day long.
I think he is trying to say DOG too.
I'm trying to get some audio of it... so someday soon.
P.S. Landen and I have finally recovered from our bout with the flu. Thanks for your concern.

George's first word didn't come until 17 months. It was Mother's Day and he said, "car" in nursery.
