We decided that since it was Easter- a Sunday afternoon together would be as enjoyable as any traditional activities. So, we visited the horse, and then loaded the dogs up and went down to the river bench.
However, Spur would NOT get into the back of the truck. No amount of coaxing and bribes would get him up. So Michael hoisted him in (he weighs nearly a 100 pounds!) and I held on to him while Michael drove. It was great. We decided this dog needs to take more rides! Penny was easy to get in because she is small and she didn't mind the ride. It was leaving that she had a problem with... and when she got home, she passed out by the couch from exhaustion. I've decided Dogs are not merely for companionship, but for entertainment too.
We had a good time walking around, enjoying nature and each other. It's amazing how good Landen is when he's outside -- he smiles and gets excited! It is lots of fun being able to go outside, especially in the good weather!
