Bossil is our new dog. He's an Anatolian Shepard, which are bred to be Livestock Guardian Dogs. We got him to protect our chickens. He's about 2 and hasn't had any LGD training and so we are working on training him. Everyday he goes out and does chores with us. He has been through obedience school, so he has his basic commands pretty good.
As big as he is, he really is a gentle giant. He weighs about 130 lbs! That's more than me! His back comes up to my hips. This picture is a little blurry, because Landen won't hold still, but it's the best one to see how big he is compared to Landen.
Landen really likes him and prays for him every night. Maggie likes to watch him out the window, but he tries to kiss her too much. It's pretty funny she says, "no,no,no" and bats him away. He's still got some adjusting to our house to do, but he's fit in pretty good.
Here he is with Michael. Michael is going out with the missionaries, thus the pants and tie. He does that a lot as Ward Mission Leader. Bossil is shedding right now, and it's a hairy mess. The joys of dogs!
