Randomly, if you're traveling through Utah on 1-15 and have kids, there is a great gas station to stop at The Flying J in Scipio. (That's somewhere between Filmore and Nephi, but closer to Filmore?) And I mean, we've stopped rest stops with playgrounds and wifi (Thank you, Nebraska). We've stopped at ones with restaurants and giant balls of twine, Historical Markers, Buffalo Bill Memorials, Wizards of Oz Museums, and any other sleuth of odd ball attractions, but in my opinion, Scipio takes the cake!! They have a Petting Zoo! It has the usual goats and sheep, ponies and donkeys, rabbits and chickens, alpacas and llamas. And it also has a Zebra! and Emus and an Ostrich. The Zebra was very nice and really just wanted the food, it didn't really care for being petted. However, the Ostrich went for Landen's entire hand, scared him and we couldn't get him to go back into the pen. Ha. (So be careful!)
What a great stop when you're roadtrippin' with some kiddos! They have picnic tables under some shade too. That's always nice! And, better yet it's FREE. Okay, they ask for donations... so not entirely if you are like me and have to donate. Anyway....
Even though it was like 105 degrees, we had a nice break from the car. And we decided we had to ditch early before they closed I -15 from the smokin' wildfires. And really, I feel so bad for all those in Pocatello and Utah who lost their homes! How awful!! Back to the kids, they fell asleep until Provo when we stopped to see Brandon (Michael's Bro) and then they sleep the whole way home, so it must have worked. Or they were totally exhausted from the reunion..... Yeah, I'm going with the Petting Zoo ;)

We've bee there.
Sounds exciting! We usually blow by everything on the road except when we need gas. So if we are ever in that area and in dire need of gas, we know where to go. The pigs look cute. Can't wait to see pictures of the piglets.
